FlamencÓle Approach to Flamenco

We are excited and delighted to share the beautiful art of Flamenco with you and your children. With our years of training and experience, we seek to promote this timeless tradition throughout our community.

Flamenco originated from Andalucia, Spain, in the middle of the 19th century. It was a fusion of nationalities, religions, and cultures and was expressed through dance and song. The music derived from a wide blend of influences, such as Greek psalm, Arabic dirges, Persian melodies, Gregorian chants, Castillian ballads, Jewish laments, African rhythms and the melodies of gypsies who migrated from distant India. This mingling formed the musical structure now known as Flamenco.

At FlamencÓle, we strive to build strong, healthy bodies and minds, to strengthen mental discipline and teach all the forms and passion of Flamenco. Dancing Flamenco develops poise, grace, coordination, personality and self-confidence. It is fun while also developing good posture, rhythm perception and social development in our students. Dancing creates a sense of personal satisfaction, accomplishment and feeling of belonging.

At FlamencÓle the students, child or adult, can work to their potential and accomplish goals with support of the teacher. This academy does not promote or allow competition among students in the daily classes. You only compete with yourself to be the best you can be. Every child is treated equally and is an integral part of the studio. The classes are designed to be a positive and professional experience for the children and parents.

FlamencÓle encourages appreciation for Flamenco Dance, Latin dance and dance in general, while providing the highest level of Instruction through technique, style and quality performance. We look forward to educating the students and helping them become the best they can be.
